Structure of the Squamish Trails Society
We are a volunteer society.
We are a federally and provincially registered non-profit society (click here for a link to our constitution) with the facility to issue tax receipts for donations.
We have a board of directors (as required by the Societies Act).
A Board of Directors is elected annually at the Trails Society’s annual general meeting. Members of the Board of Directors from Spring 2010 to Spring 2011:

Funding Sources
Squamish Trails Society receives much of its funding from a few key sources:
Annual Membership dues from Members
o Become a member and show your commitment to Squamish Trails!
o Membership helps us out financially
o And strong membership numbers means your voice is heard on important trail issues.
Donations & Contributions
o The Squamish Trails Society also receives (through its charitable status) donations and contributions from organizations and individuals. Thank you! (link to donation link)
The District of Squamish, Provincial & Federal Governments
o In the past STS has received grant funding from the District of Squamish. Currently there is no formal annual arrangement for such.
o We do seek grant funding from governments on a project-by-project basis
Business Organizations & Developers
The Society very often partners with developers and business organizations to fund projects as well.
