Structure of the Squamish Trails Society

We are a volunteer society.

We are a federally and provincially registered non-profit society with the facility to issue tax receipts for donations.

We have an executive and board of directors (as required by the Societies Act).  

The Executive and Board of Directors is elected annually at the Squamish Trails Society’s annual general meeting.

OUR CONSTITUTION

The name of the society is: Squamish Trails Society

The purposes of the society are to;

1. Enhance the quality of life in our community by planning, constructing and maintaining a public pedestrian and cycling system of trails, using off-road route whenever possible, which link all areas in the District of Squamish;

2. Promote public support and use of commuter and recreational trails;

3. Foster appreciation of our cultural and natural heritage;

4. Cooperate with the District of Squamish staff in the revision and implementation of the Official Community Plan; and

5. Work with others to develop, promote and maintain community trails.
